Ashleigh and Howard met each other for the first time in 2002 near New York's Central Park, in a setup that was planned by their destinies. At that time, Ashleigh Banfield was an MSNBC anchor and was taking her dog for a walk to the park. It happened that her dog’s leash got entangled with that of another dog who, was walked around the park, by Howard Gould, a New York real estate financier. As they were undoing the tangles, they started talking to each other, and immediately fell in love. This was like a first love experience for both Ashleigh Banfield and Howard Gould. They have never had a relationship or had any affairs with any other person prior to falling in love with each other. Howard was Ashleigh’s first boyfriend, till they got married later.
Around two years after they first met at New York's Central Park, Ashleigh and Howard got married on July 24, 2004. The marriage reception was held at the Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club, a place where Ashleigh had spent a major part of her childhood days. What a perfect place for Ashleigh to start her new life with her husband! The marriage ceremony was held on Grace Anne II, an 85-ft. yacht, from the 1930's. For her wedding, Ashleigh wanted a unique wedding dress to be designed, something that was far from the traditional dresses. The task was given to Laura Madrigano, an acclaimed fashion designer, who along with Ashleigh, spent months on deciding the wedding theme. Laura not only designed a completely unique dress for Ashleigh, but also designed the bridesmaid and flow girl dresses, the handbags, the table linens, gift bags and many other accessories for the reception, which was attended by almost 200 guests.
The couple has never thought of a divorce as they love each other, a lot. They are currently into their 10th year of marriage, blessed with two sons and happily residing at Connecticut, a state in the northeastern region of The United States of America.
